*Arabica Coffee is also known across the world as the “Arabian coffee”, “the coffee shrub of Arabia,” and as “mountain coffee”. It is believed to have been the first species of coffee to be cultivated. The first written record of coffee made from roasted coffee beans was found in writings by Arab scholars who wrote that it was useful in prolonging their working hours.
BEST BREWING TIPS
A few good ideas to keep in mind when you are using a filter machine or plunger:
- If you’re using whole beans grind the beans just before you brew your cuppa, it will ensure an infinitely better cup of coffee than using pre-ground.
- Heat the water to between 94˚C and 97˚C (just before it reaches boiling point).
- Use 1 – 2 tablespoons of ground coffee per 220ml cup and adjust this according to you personal taste preferences with more coffee for a stronger brew and less for a milder one.
- The ideal brewing time is between four and five minutes.
