Bananas are known for being extremely rich in potassium, often chosen by athletes for an energy boost. Potassium, along with fibre, protects the

Bananas contain serotonin which is a hormone known to have possible anti-stress qualities. A study published in the Archives of Internal Medicine suggested that those who were on diets containing foods with higher levels of potassium were less likely to suffer a stroke.
